Lisa Wellington – Taking a volunteer adventure trip to Rwanda with Go the 2nd Mile challenged not only my world perspective but also was transformative for the people we visited.
G2M organized the trip in a way that maximized our experience by placing emphasis on relationship building opportunities rather than a frenzied Western productivity mode. Molly Mendenhal – Travel will never be the same for me! The thing that really grabbed me was the presence of God in the places we worked in Costa Rica. Here, in our society, I think God is covered up by materialism and the drama and greed that go with it. I was strongly denying there was a God before this. There, the simplicity of life and the raw reality and the ironic beauty of the people that live with the sadness and constant challenges of poverty and lawlessness allow God’s presence to be clearly seen and felt every moment.
